Simon Rosenberg serves as the founder and Portfolio Manager for Homestead Financial Partners, an investment firm based in Tampa, FL. Prior to Homestead, he served as Portfolio Manager and Senior Research Analyst at Snow Capital Management in Pittsburgh, PA and as Portfolio Manager at Sabal Trust in St Petersburg, FL.
Simon began his investing career at Snow Capital in July 2007, on the eve of the global financial crisis. His first role was that of a securities analyst with responsibility for researching equities for the firm’s All Cap Value strategy, a $6 billion portfolio that ranked in the top 1% of value managers in the United States over more than ten years. During his tenure at Snow, he oversaw more than $3 billion as Portfolio Manager on the firm’s flagship All Cap Value, Focused Value, Large Cap Value, and Equity Income strategies and as Senior Analyst on Small Cap Value and hedge fund strategies. Simon’s accomplishments include managing a large-cap value strategy that ranked in the top 3% of peers over nine years, leading the firm’s Equity Income strategy, and serving as analyst on a small-cap value strategy that ranked in the top 5% of peers.
Before joining Snow, Simon earned his MBA from the Tepper School of Business at Carnegie Mellon University, where he attended on scholarship. At Tepper, he nurtured his long-held passion for investing by serving as President of the Asset Management Club and co-founder of the Tepper Opportunity fund, a student managed portfolio. His coursework at Tepper covered topics in corporate strategy, finance, economics, statistics, and computational finance. Prior to Tepper, Simon worked as a CPA in public and private accounting and earned bachelors’ degrees in accounting and finance from Florida State University.
Simon established Homestead Financial Partners in 2019 to manage assets for his friends and family using a value and income-oriented approach to investment management. Homestead seeks to leverage Simon’s knowledge and passion for investing to provide independent, sophisticated, and cost effective solutions to individuals and families seeking to translate their financial assets into growing streams of income.
